Matt Foutz
President and Founder
Matt began F&M Construction in 2006 and leads the firm in our mission and delivering our value propositions to our clients. Matt establishes and maintains all client relationships, oversees all construction projects, and ensures processes and methods are in place to assure a safe and comfortable work environment for our team. With almost 40 years of civil construction experience in both company leadership and project management, Matt’s commitment to integrity, honesty and quality permeate throughout the company. Matt moved to Colorado in 1962 and is the oldest of five siblings. He enjoys the outdoors and mountain activities. Married with children, Matt values his time spent with family as well as farming, wood working, hunting and fishing.
Joni Logan Meyer
Business Coordinator
Joni joined the Office Staff of F&M Construction in 2008. Over the years her role here has changed, but her dedication to the efficiency and accuracy of doing and growing business has never waivered. With an amazingly infectious positive attitude, Joni brings organizational skills and experience in running the business of F&M Construction. She has extensive experience in accounts management, sales and marketing and takes pride in customer service. The firm’s integrity, professionalism, honesty and commitment to safety are what Joni believes F&M clients value most. Joni moved to Colorado from Texas in 2004 when she and her husband built their log home themselves. She has 2 children and enjoys hiking, horseback riding, travel, snowboarding, enjoying the outdoors, and the company of close friends and family.
Shaun Smith
Project Manager/Estimator
In the later part of 2019, Shaun joined the F&M team in efforts to grow the business. Shawn spends a good deal of his time searching for suitable work that fits the profile of F&M Construction. When the fit is right, he digs in, putting numbers together, estimating resources and material procurement, and delivers an accurate estimated cost of project completion to potential and existing clients. His accuracy and attention to detail gives him the ability to save both F&M and our clients additional monies to complete, as all aspects of job completion are considered. He appreciates the chance to work with many different types of projects and a variety of people. Shaun is a US Military Veteran with an education in Geology. He enjoys trail-running, camping and maintaining his 120 year old historical home along with his wife, young son and a daughter on the way.
Miranda Wagner
Office Manager
Miranda is the newest member of the F&M team, joining us in 2020. Miranda brings with her a substantial history in Finance, Banking, and Team Leadership. Her organizational skills, attention to details and professionalism are a great addition to our Office Staff. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the office including bookkeeping, payroll, vendor and client relations, invoicing and operations. Miranda is no stranger to new ventures and hard work, as she and her family are first generation cattle ranchers. With her husband and 2 young sons starting just 10 years ago with only 8 cows, they now raise and manage over 300 head of cattle through every season moving between the high country and low country here in SW Colorado. She is passionate about her work, both at home and at the office, bringing a positive attitude with her wherever she may be.
Damon Abeln
General Superintendent
Damon is responsible for safety, day to day operations and client relationships at F&M. Damon has many years experience in civil construction, not only as a project and team leader, but as a heavy equipment operator, specializing in finish blade operation. His management skills & experience in civil construction bring a great deal to the overall F&M client experience. Damon values the adherence to safety and client communication that are trademarks of F&M. Damon and his wife have three children at home and he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Greg Cox
Safety Manager
Greg joined F&M in early 2018 developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to best practices and legal guidelines. He is responsible for leading our company’s strong safety program by tracking and scheduling continued training, maintaining safety policies, ordering supplies and safety equipment, and conducting One Calls. By conducting weekly safety meetings and regular on-site safety audits, Greg ensures our safety procedures and obligations are being met. Greg brings extensive experience in the construction industry and provides congenial, professional, and respectful service to our clients and employees. Greg spends his free time hunting, fishing, taxidermy, dancing and road tripping.
Mike Kirk
Equipment Manager
Mike originally joined our firm in 2010 as our Equipment and Fleet Manager bringing over 30 years of mechanical experience. Mike is responsible for maintaining all of the equipment and trucks, and the records that go with that. His commitment to safety and extensive mechanical experience are a great value to our operations. Mike believes the honesty, professionalism and desire of all F&M team members to do the right thing and the best job possible are what makes F&M stand out among civil construction firms. He is proud of our firm and team’s reputation in the industry. Married with children and grandchildren, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends.
